The Red Door Music Venue is an awesome youth outreach starting in Pensacola. The Alley Development is a proud supporter of this worthy cause.
The Red Door is an outreach ministry operating under Generation Impact Ministries, a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Their purpose is to meet the spiritual needs of Pensacola's youth/young adult culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They will be open Thursday - Sunday until summer and then their hours will increase. Red Door will host youth rallies, independent film festivals, theme nights, comedy events (clean), open-mic nights, movie nights, lock-ins, music shows, girls only nights, guys only nights, and much more. They plan to provide leadership training, discipleship, peer counseling and events that will speak to youth and young adult issues. Eventually they would love to have a suicide prevention hot-line and provide crisis counseling.
These magnets that you may have seen around town are all part of a new Pensacola branding campaign. This initiative is an undertaking of the Pensacola Area Chamber of Commerce. They plan on building up the name of what Pensacola residents want Pensacola to represent.
As part of this campaign they have car magnets, t-shirts, and banners all with the words "heroic, glorious, innovative, genuine, spirited, beautiful". The words that Pensacola residents best think represent the community.
I love this idea, I think its awesome to see some work being done to promote Pensacola's name. With all the ways our town has been advancing lately its time to let it shine. Let others know and make them want to come in and do business.
Pensacola is innovative, we need to show it, and this does. This is an innovative and beautiful way to promote our wonderful city.
Since our company is based in beautiful downtown Pensacola Florida, we have quite a few choices when it comes to lunch and where we would like to eat. Recently we have taken a liking to The Cottage Cafe, it's a little sandwich shop about two blocks from our location. The food is absolutely wonderful. It's frequented by lawyers, librarians, business owners. Its a small treasure in our town.
The owners also own and operate The Pensacola Victorian Bed and Breakfast which sits next too the cafe on the same lot. They are old friends of mine so one day while Aaron and I were in the shop eating I asked them if they would like the website for the Bed and Breakfast updated and if they would like a site for the Cottage Cafe. As you can guess they said yes. So currently we are working on that project.
If you ever would like to meet with Aaron and I to talk about anything, you are likely to catch us at the table by the door in the Cottage Cafe around 1:00 pm. We would love to take you to lunch and talk about anything. We always love new company.
If you would like to go to lunch with us one day drop me a line at andrew@thealleydevelopment.com.
