The Alley Development was formed in August 2007 by Andrew J. Myers, who, as a long-time friend of a web-developing CEO, noticed companies that would profit from web support, but were ignored by the larger web-development teams because of their size or requests. He took this problem and presented it before several friends, skilled in the various aspects of business, and this thought, 'helping the little guy', became the basis of The Alley.
