Skype had an error....

From the Skype Heartbeat website.

On Thursday, 16th August 2007, the Skype peer-to-peer network became unstable and suffered a critical disruption.

The Alley Development uses Skype regularly for day to day business. Skype is software that lets you use your computer and internet connection to communicate with anyone, anywhere in the world. It allows calls to other skype users, as well as almost all real cellphones and landlines. We use it for almost all company phone calls. It has never failed us, in fact when you call the company number listed on this site you are calling Skype on someones computer.

So of course when Skype was down for almost two days it kinda put a damper on things, thankfully we have voicemail on the account that continued to work.

Now Skype is back to normal and they have fixed the issue, so we're all back on track. Note I am not knocking Skype service at all. I still adore the service and will continue to use it as much as we can. In fact there is a PBX interface that will allow us to make skype calls through a standard PBX phone system.

I recommend you all try out Skype. Even give me a call and I would love to chat. My skype account is andrew-myers, send me a line.
